
CSU prof named to federal economic advisory committee
FORT COLLINS -- Professor Jay Breidt, chairman of the Department
of Statistics at Colorado State University, recently was appointed
to serve a three-year term on the Federal Economic Statistics
Advisory Committee.
The committee presents advice and makes recommendations to
the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the Bureau of Economic Analysis
and the Bureau of the Census. The committee's responsibilities
include recommending research to address important technical
problems arising in federal economic statistics and establishing
working relationships with professional associations with
an interest in federal economic statistics, such as the American
Statistical Association and the American Economic Association.
